UPDATE FROM ITALY

Hello  to  Our American friends and visitors,
Let me update you about the current situation in Florence where it is currently sunny and hot.

Even though the Italian Prime Minister Conte has kept anti-Covid Emergency measures in place—I.e. masks in indoor public places and social distancing are still mandatory everywhere in the country—almost everything has reopened: most of hotels, restaurants, bars, theaters, museums, churches, public swimming pools and so on.We are starting to see some European visitors and many, many Italians.

The city center is full of people enjoying outdoor dining spaces, having dinner or a spritz…we see fewer cars and plenty of people wandering or tasting a glass of wine!
The atmosphere is pleasant and we can breathe more easily since there’s much less anxiety In the air than a few months ago…people have restarted a “normal” life, learning to live with the virus.

The only ingredient missing is our beloved American Guests!! A big Saluti to all of you. - Paola
