Joyce studied abroad in Siena with the University of Colorado during a time before Instagram and TikTok, when life was much simpler.
About The Italian concierge

With a passion for travel ignited by years of exploration, as well as her heritage originating from Italy, Joyce launched her tour company The Italian Concierge in 2000. Joyce’s 30 years of firsthand experience in Italian tourism has enabled her to collect volumes of information on what to see, where to go, what to eat, where to stay and more, to create personalized luxury itineraries that capture the heart and soul of Italy.
In response to growing demand from satisfied returning clients, Joyce launched The Provence Concierge in 2023. Adding The Provence Concierge to our offerings was an obvious destination for the historic connection between Italy and France, a legacy tied by the ancient Roman Empire. This luxury travel agency offers itineraries for the South of France, delivering the same exceptional service and personalized attention that have defined her work in Italy.
JOYCE’S “BLACK BOOK”
Joyce’s meticulously curated “Black Book” began as a simple Filofax in 1994. Today, her list features thousands of contacts, including private drivers, guides, hotel managers, artisans, and local experts across Italy. Her three decades of travel experience have allowed her to test each hotel, evaluate guides and develop personal relationships within the Italian travel industry, ensuring that our clients receive the best service and insights while traveling in Italy.

As a proponent of the Slow Food movement and founder of the Slow Food Roaring Fork Convivium in Aspen, Colorado, Joyce continues to embrace Italy’s culinary traditions. Her lifelong connection to the country, bolstered by her Italian heritage, regional knowledge, and language skills, enriches her ability to guide clients through Italy’s rich tapestry of cultural experiences.
Joyce and her team of experts at The Italian Concierge are fully committed to delivering exceptional service and creating unforgettable Italian vacations.
