With everyone worried about climate change and global warming, officials in Italy are finally doing their part.

Big news for art lovers! This summer, world renowned artist Christo will unveil his newest installation- floating walkways covering Lake Iseo. The “Floating Piers” will be on view from June 18 to July 3, 2016, weather permitting.

Everyone has his own theory on the best time to buy an airplane ticket. Some may have heard that Tuesday is the best day, others swear you have to book at least six months out to get the best savings, while some opt for last minute ticket deals.

Italy is a country where people still talk face to face, are not glued all day to their cell phones, and are more concerned with the quality of their food than the quality of their broadband internet.  It is anything but high tech.  However, there have been a number of recent efforts to usher in high tech solutions to various problems, benefitting citizens, the environment, and upping Italy’s less than stellar tech savvy.

Contrary to widespread belief, having kids doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to your travel plans.  I am always amazed at how many families with small children I see traveling all over the European continent.  While it is clear that Europeans travel more than Americans, with or without children, the addition of new kids programs and family centric vacations has made family travel more accessible than ever.
