As the summer travel season is in full swing, visitors to Florence will enjoy a special exhibit in the city’s main piazzas. Works by multidisciplinary Belgian artist Jan Fabre are now on display at various points throughout the famous art city, including Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Forte Belvedere.

In a long awaited return to the ancient city of Pompeii, David Gilmour will perform two shows this summer. The July performances will take place in the same amphitheater featured in Pink Floyd’s classic “Live at Pompeii” concert film. The site of the historic shows is in fact home to the oldest surviving Roman amphitheater, preserved by the infamous eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. The ampitheater resided under ash for nearly 1,600 years following the eruption of Vesuvius.

Big news for art lovers! This summer, world renowned artist Christo will unveil his newest installation- floating walkways covering Lake Iseo. The “Floating Piers” will be on view from June 18 to July 3, 2016, weather permitting.

World renowned classical singer Andrea Bocelli is preparing for his 2016 world tour. In addition to playing in several important international arenas, perhaps his most noteworthy show will take place in his hometown of Lajatico, Italy.

Visitors to southern Italy are in for a treat, with a new evening exhibition now showing at the ancient city of Pompeii.  Pompeii: Un’ Emozione Notturna is running from August 5 to September 27, attracting locals and tourists alike to enjoy the special night tour.   Like never before, visitors can tour the preserved Roman city and experience the merging of history, culture, and art.
