4 nights Puglia & 5 nights Positano Amalfi Coast

We are delighted to offer you a unique, luxurious way to tour southern Italy. In this nine night small group escorted package, we have joined together two premier southern areas, that of Puglia with the Amalfi Coastline. This tour is fully escorted with a bilingual tour manager. The maximum size group will be twelve guests. 

The tour begins at Bari Airport, where your tour manager and driver await to transfer you to a classic Apulian masseria. During our four night stay in Puglia, we visit the highlights of this region which include: Otranto on the Adriatic, Lecce the baroque city of the south, the Valle d’Itria which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and includes Alberobello, and also Ostuni - the white city. 

Departing Puglia, we then transfer to the chic Costiera Amalfitana, and for the next five nights will be based in the heart of Positano. Classic sites we will visit while based on the Amalfi Coast are the ruins of Pompeii, Ravello, the picturesque town of Amalfi, once one of the grand mariner republics who owned the seas, and the colorful & lively town of Sorrento. Also included on this tour will be a boat cruise along the famous Amalfi coastline by private boat, and a day visit to the island of Capri.

July 19- 26, 2021 

2 Nights Firenze, 3 nights Lucca & 2 nights Santa Margherita Ligure 

This small group seven night tour will visit Florence & Lucca in Tuscany and Santa Margherita Ligure in Liguria.  The itinerary begins with a two night stay in Firenze wit our hotel situated on the Arno River, walking distance to all major sites. We begin the tour with an easy stroll in Firenze accompanied by a licensed historic guide, followed by dinner in a classic trattoria dining on Tuscan specialties. 

During your two nights in Florence, you will also travel to the bucolic Chianti countryside to visit a “tre bicchiere” award winning winery for a tour, tasting, followed by lunch.  Thereafter, we will stop at Greve in Chianti, one of the Gallo Nero Chianti villages, before heading back to Firenze.

While in Lucca, we will enjoy a cooking lesson of Tuscan classic plates and a visit Villa Torrigiani first mentioned in 1593 and whose historic garden dates to 1650.

The focal point of the itinerary, however, will certainly be the tenor Andrea Bocelli’s concert to be held in the Teatro di Silenzio,  in an outdoor amphitheatre located in his home village of Lajatico, Tuscany. 

Continuing to the beautiful Liguria coastline for the final two nights, our hotel will be located with a view of the port in chic Santa Margherita Ligure on the Italian Riviera.
