Florence will soon be sans (“without”) its iconic San Lorenzo Market. The once famous market in Florence will be removed on an order from Italy’s highest administrative court.
As the summer travel season is in full swing, visitors to Florence will enjoy a special exhibit in the city’s main piazzas. Works by multidisciplinary Belgian artist Jan Fabre are now on display at various points throughout the famous art city, including Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Forte Belvedere.
If you only have ten days, or one work week with the weekends on each side, you can take in the greatest hits, Italy’s famous art cites: Florence, Rome, and Venice. And, with proper planning, you can do it in a leisurely fashion and even take in a bit of the countryside.
